BLOGMAS TWENTY FOUR & TWENTY FIVE

CHRISTMAS EVE & CHRISTMAS DAY Christmas of 2015 was an a amazing celebration. I got to spend a wonderful amount of time with my friends and family. As a Christmas Eve tradition, my sister and I started the morning off by exchanging one of the gifts that we got for each other. She chose to give me a bracelet. It is a mock Pandora bracelet that came with a few charms. It had a red theme to it, on red bead and a red suitcase, silver Eiffel tower and a plane bead. The name of the bracelet was Globe Trotter, this was the perfect bracelet for me, my sister knows me so well. And one of my dreams is to travel to Paris and visit the fashion houses. Later that night we celebrated Christmas with my mom's side of the family at my aunts' house. There was tons of food and all the cousins were gathered together. I mostly ate food, I'm a slow eater and it took me a good hour and a half to finish my food (not an exaggeration). I took a break from eating because i physically co...

BLOGMAS DAY SEVENTEEN TO TWENTY-THREE

CHRISTMAS EVE EVE These past few days I have been wrapped up in the holiday bustle! This past weekend I did some last minute Christmas shopping. I spent all of my time wrapping everything and getting into the holiday spirit! On Friday the eighteenth I performed in my last holiday concert with one of the choral groups that I am apart of at school. It was a truly bittersweet moment for me, I am a senior this year and I truly tried to enjoy the moment but I couldn't help but think about how this time next year I will be somewhere else doing something else. I've been apart of this choir since freshman year and I've grown so fond of the family feel. Also during this very short-three day week at school I choose to really invest time into my friends and the people around me. All this week I felt like Santa Claus because I was giving gifts to all my friends and teachers. I bought most of my friends gifts without telling my friends so it was so nice to see the surprised sm...

GIFT GIVING There is a week and a few days until Christmas is here and I still have so many gifts to buy and not enough time or money. As a teen that works so few days during the year, I barely have enough saved up for anything. I spent most of my money on my sister and on food when I eat out. Not having enough money to gift to my friends hurts me so much! I love all of my friends and wish I could get them all presents but the reality is that i can't and it honestly breaks my heart. I feel that i put so much stress on myself, especially during the holidays, to please everyone and to make everyone happy. I honestly wish that i didn't have such a generous heart because then i wouldn't be as stressed but genuinely want to make people happy. But honestly the holidays are meant to be spent with your family and friends and enjoying their company. I feel like we tend to get so wrapped up in gift giving that we loose sight in the true meaning of the holiday. Do you guys agre...

SECRET SANTA Every year, in some shape or form, I participate in secret Santa. If you are not familiar with this, secret Santa is an activity that takes place during the Christmas season where a group of people exchange names at random and pick out gifts for each other. Usually the people who participate in this activity are people who you know, like family or friends. This year I am participating in a Secret Santa but I'm not entirely sure who all is included in it. One of my friends has organized it and has generously included anyone who was willing to participate. We are planning to have a party at her house later this week. I'm a little anxious to know who all is involved but that is also the fun of secret Santa, not knowing who has who and who has you. Luckily I picked a name of someone i know pretty well so I am confident I picked out a good gift for them. Also with this secret Santa we were required to write three things we would like to relieve and there was a $20...

FAVORITE HOLIDAY TREATS There are certain things that you can only get during the holiday season which i love and wish they were available all year around! 1. CANDY CANES These cane shaped candies are delicious and should be available 365 days of the year! 2. PILLSBURY CHRISTMAS THEME SUGAR COOKIES These cookies are so cute and delicious, Pillsbury never ceases to produce quality products. 3. STARBUCKS PEPPERMINT MOCHA The most appealing thing about a mocha for me is that i have the delight of coffee without the horrible taste (sorry coffee drinkers). This season is especially known for the immense generosity and kindness that people show towards one another. I think that not just this time of yet but all year 'round, people should think of the less fortunate and help them. An easy and inexpensive way to do this is to make toiletry bags to give to the homeless. Filling a plastic ziplock bag with the items show above, is very simple and a quick way to help someone in need. Making a bunch of these and donating them to your local shelter is great! If you are able to bring joy to someone this season do it! What's stopping you? 4 more days to go!  Live ~Laugh~Love  Pinterest ~ Twitter ~ Facebook ~ Bloglovin

As Christmas and other holidays approach, many teachers love to give big projects and assignments over the break. Unfortunately in my case many teachers decide that its best to give us all the assignments before break, you may be wondering what I'm complaining about but if all of my teachers give me an assignment before break I only have a few days to compete everything. This, for the highly procrastinated student, equals a lot of stress. I am trying to balance all of this and in the end I know I will appreciate the stress free break like it should be. It's about that time when people ask what you want for Christmas and I don't know about you but I generally forget what I want and tell them I will give them an answer. I've learned in situations like this, it's great to go to the store when you want things or see something you like and take a picture and make a photo album of things that you potentially want for Christmas. This is also great for online shopping too, just take a screen shot of what your looking at. So next time you see something you like just snap a picture and send it to someone who's thinking of buying you something for Christmas.  Happy Friday!  13 days to go!  Live ~Laugh~Love  Pinterest ~ Twitter ~ Facebook ~ Bloglovin

So I live on the east coast of the United States, and unlike some parts of my country we go through seasons. The weather does not stay 85 degrees all year 'round. So with that said, the weather may go through seasons, I believe people have seasons as well, and this season I have been experiencing a sweet tooth! But this is not unusual for me, I could eat sweets all the time if I was allowed. The unusual part is that the specific kind of dessert I have been craving is.....ice cream! Now you can understand why the relevance of how the weather is where I live. It is currently 35 degrees outside with some chilly wind making it feel like it's 25 degrees. Although it is certifiably cold and a normal person would crave a hot food or beverage to keep them toasty, I crave ice cream! I went and bought the Friendlys vanilla ice cream with peanut butter cups and ate about two scoops ( I say about because I have no shame in saying I eat the ice cream right out of the carton). I may or ...

During this time of year I usually stay inside and don't venture off and explore but this year I want to create a bucket list of something's to do during December and over winter break. CAROLING I am not saying that I am the best singer but I do love Christmas songs. I think getting a couple of my friends and going around caroling in my town square would be cool to do. CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTING Most towns have a Christmas tree lighting in their town square. I may have missed the one in my town but going to see it lit up on a winter's night is a good equivalent to me. ICE SKATING To be quite honest I have never been roller-skating and I am not sure if there is a skating rink where I live but I would love to try it out (probably would end up being an epic fail but who knows). BUILDING AN IGLOO Ever year me and my sister build a snowman or a wall of snow and have snowball fights but this year I want to take on the challenge of building an igloo! Depen...

The first week of December has already passed and if you haven't already you should probably have your Christmas tree up already. In my family we have an artificial, tree, not the most traditional but it does have its pros and cons. The pros are that we don't have to tend to it everyday or worry about pine needles. Some cons are that you don't have that fresh tree aroma filling up your house or the fun of going to the tree lot and picking one out. Every year we drag out tree from the basement and assemble it, not the most thrilling, compared to searching for the perfect tree at a lot. Aside from that decorating the tree is the other half of the fun! My mom is likes having a theme for the tree each year. One year it was burgundy and bronze this year it's gold with white/silver accents. We have gold glass bell ornaments with gold bows and white lights. We also have silver snowflakes on our tree as well as round gold ornaments. I am more of a colorful person, I love hom...

As it is starting to near towards Christmas, it only seems right to start Christmas shopping and finding gifts for your loved ones. Today I had the challenge of finding out what to get for my parents and sister. Living with them, gives me an idea of what they like and don't like. When I went to the store(s) today and I was overwhelmed with so many possible options to choose from, so many possible gifts to give. When going into a store there are advertised "gifts" for Christmas like; perfume & lotion sets for the ladies and ties or watches for the men. Then you have the actually items of the store, having all these options it was soon clear I was going to have some trouble choosing gifts. I conjured up a plan in my head to help me narrow down what to get them. As I was walking through the store I put any possible gift into my cart, now you may be saying that this is crazy and you will end up buying all the stuff any way but since I was on a budget it works...
