THREE KINGS DAY


Three Kings day is a celebration that is very similar to Christmas.....but instead of Santa bringing presents it is the Three Kings that went to visit baby Jesus. This holiday is celebrated on the 6th of January every year. It is widely celebrated in Spain and Latin American countries. My parents are from the Caribbean, where this holiday is popular. We currently live in the United States where this holiday is not as popular or well known. So to get back to our roots I suggested last year that we celebrate this holiday.

Since my family does celebrate Christmas our Three Kings Day gifts are exchanged at a much smaller scale than Christmas.

This year I received a couple of items that I am so excited about....
The first being a ring/jewelry organizer. It is the elephant from Horton hears a who! He is in a lake and his nose is sticking out from the water. It is perfect to put all my rings on. Second I got a Christmas mug! The mug is in the shape of Santa's face. If you didn't know I am very into quirky things, so I am so excited to have a new mug in my collection. My sister gifted me a black tank top from Old Navy which I am so appreciative for.

This College Journey is going great so far! Part Two: College Admission Tests

So a couple months ago I had the privilege of taking the PSAT. This is a wonderful test that the State gives to students in their Junior year to see how they would test on the real thing. The SAT or the Scholastic Assessment Test is a standardized college test used widely for college admissions in the United States. These tests are usually taken at the end of your Junior year or the beginning/end of your Senior year. This test has three parts Reading, Writing and Math, each of these sections can be anywhere from 200 to 800 points for a possible total score of 2400. The PSAT or Preliminary Scholastic Assessment Test is a less intense version of the real deal but nonetheless scored similarly with the same amount of questions. This test took three hours (I missed three periods out of my eight period schedule, I don't have a lunch so I have eight classes) and it had Math and Reading sections. In my opinion

2022 Quarantine Chronicles

Cheers to a New Year and R.I.P Betty White Throughout the COVID pandemic I have successfully and safely been able to avoid it, until now. 7 days into this new year I have been forced to quarantined - obviously to monitor any symptoms and make sure everything is safe, but no one ever says how boring quarantine is.
